Geothermal Hydronic Floor HeatingCombining radiant hydronic floor heating with our Geothermal heating system will provide a high level of comfort at low cost. As an alternative to forced air heating and cooling via an air handler, Our geothermal heat pump can also provide the most efficient heating and cooling source for any radiant hydronic heating system and chilled water for a fan coil cooling system. This feature can be incorporated without the need to ‘oversize’ the equipment. Energy SavingsStudies have found energy usage averages 40% less in homes with radiant heating than with forced air heating – a big savings in your heating cost. Combine this with the efficiency of EarthLinked ® geothermal heating and you have a winner! |

How Does Radiant Hydronic Floor Heating Work?A radiant hydronic heating system circulates warm water (typically 30-40 degrees) through special tubing in or beneath floors to distribute heat. Radiant energy warms the surfaces of all objects which are in direct line of sight, including all floors, walls, furniture and people which can be ’seen’ by the floor. Radiant systems provide the inverse of conventional space heating patterns: they provide warm floors and cool ceilings, resulting in greater comfort and energy savings. It does not rely on ducting, furnaces, fans or blowers and therefore the system is virtually noiseless due to the lack of air movement. Geothermal Radiant Hydronic Floor Heating Features:
Hydronic Radiant Panel HeatingThe proven effectiveness of central heating widely used in Europe for almost a century. If designed, installed and used correctly, hydronic central heating can be economical and highly effective in most buildings. Combining radiant panel heating with the energy efficiency of our geothermal heating systems can provide great benefits. Geothermal Radiant Panel Heating functions by heating water and then pumping it through piping to panel radiators or convectors positioned in each room. Heat is transferred directly from these to the room air. It’s important to design the radiant panels for 40-45 degree water. |
